CDI Launches IMPCAS in Africa

South African Launch of CDI International Marine Packed Cargo Audit Scheme� IMPCAS

Captain Terry Frith (CDI Technical Manager Logistics) will be in South Africa to support Responsible Packaging Management Association of Southern Africa (RPMASA) Launch IMPCAS and inform Industry of opportunities through implementation of the CDI
International Marine Packed Cargo Audit Scheme; designed to improve safety, security, compliance, and the quality of operations to reduce incidents and accidents within the global marine packed cargo supply chain.

Following on from CDI visit to RPMASA in June 2016, CDI and RPMASA signed an MOU agreement to promote CDI Services and opportunities and uplift safety and Security, AND reduce accidents, and incidents in the Chemical Supply Chain. An important outcome of the MoU was CDI ran its IMPCAS Auditor training course for the first time in Africa last year, resulting in the first African based IMPCAS Auditors within the scheme

CDI will be attending the June launch in Africa to inform, and excite Industry about this opportunity for Marine Logistic Service Providers, (Freight Forwarders, Tank Container Companies, Shipping Agents, Container Ports,
Container Shipping Companies and Container Freight Stations to be audited under IMPCAS; providing the tools and means for evaluation and promotion of their services to the global chemical industry as well as Governments and local authorities.
